Leadership
My passion within North Pointe falls on the connections I have built within our small community, alongside writing. Inside the classroom, I have helped establish new ideas to create a welcoming environment that provides accessible information, due to our split classes. I take pride as Editor-in-Chief to take on responsibilities to provide feedback and mentor in order to strengthen our publication.

In order to establish a connection within our two divided classes, the executive board formulated a board to send messages and information to students as some of us do do not see each other face to face.

To assist our staff with writing and design, we created a board to guide students with information on basic journalistic skills. I took on, per example, how to layout a story.

Gratitude Circle Awards
In North Pointe, two-year students involved in the program & up are required to mentor 1-3 interns. We take on the same story the first issue, one test-trial story, and ultimately serve as their go-to person. We additionally have the honor to promote the intern with a speech, and a traditional "paper hat" to award them.
As Editor-in-Chief, it is my duty each issue to select 1-3 students for a milky-way (out of this world work), and a life-saver candy (extraordinary help). This encourages students to put forth their best effort, and serves as an ultimate award and recognition.
